Do I have harness A or B? Pure Stage 2 needing N20 Tmap

I'm running out of boost sensor resolution with my PS2 and was wondering if someone could clarify what type (harness A or B) my 2011 N55 has. It was built in 01/2011. I've already ordered an N20 Tmap sensor, just trying to plan for what kind of harness mods I may need.

Here is a pic if needed:

You have type A connector.
N20 TMAP sensor is type B so you have two options:

1. PNP adapter from BMS: LINK

2. Type B (P/N: 12527549033) connector and re-pin in reverse order.
If you wanna do it perfectly you can get new pins (4 x P/N: 12527545858) and bushings (4 x P/N: 61138366245).

Thanks for the reply. Strange because my connector looks just like the one in this youtube video:

around 2:36s.

Can I not repin my connector?

That video is misleading and I was also a victim of that irresponsible video.
Yes you can re-pin type A connector and make it work for a short time but it can easily fall out.
I edited my post above because I realized new pins and bushings aren't really required. You just need a type B connector that's all.

Wow! Your'e the first person I've seen to say this online. I've been forum searching all morning for these answers.

So the type-a plug doesn't lock into the N20 (type B) end? Are all these other people just hoping it doesn't fall out? Crazy... the connector is cheap..

No it won't lock unless you dremel the sensor to make a hole in the middle.
Not many people know the part number for the type B connector that's probably why.
BMS left a comment on that video (or something else similar) to warn about the issue.
I first had no clue what they were talking about.

Good info to have. I need to make a log tonight so I think I'll re-pin for now, and tape it on real good and the connector will come in and I'll switch it out.

Thanks again for the useful information!!!

I also followed the video above on a 2011 135i. When reversing the wires they all clicked in without trouble but like Supermoon mentioned there was no way to lock the plug and sensor. It's been a couple months but if it fails is the correct swap done with PN 12527549033? Do I keep the reversed order mentioned from the video? Sorry to thread jack lol.

Wow that was a super easy job. My parts department actually had the N20 connector in stock! Took 15 minutes to reverse the wires, install the N20 sensor, and click it in with that satisfying OEM lock click.

I can now see my PS2 N55 is making 23psi near redline! Good info to have.. hah.

Great post. Supermoon I have a late N55 (2013) E92 with a Type B harness and am planning on a PS2, so I need the N20 sensor. Does my type B harness also require the pin swap / reversal to support the N20 sensor? Any tips appreciated, thx

Fast but I'm still sorting out other issues. Tried to take it to the strip this last Tuesday and ran a 12.5@116mph - that was at 21psi with throttle cutting at the very top of third and most of fourth.

I'm still struggling with my tuner to get a good calibration - MHD tunes by load instead of boost and we're trying to find a good load ceiling but my car keeps making more power and cuts the throttle/timing when i go over the load threshold.

If I could make a clean pass at full boost I'd guess she has a mid-low 11 in it around 120mph. I'd be very happy with that.

Going to get the Helix HPFP OD so I can run 100% E85 and then the tuning will be less complicated than trying to mix for E50.
