Small Black Specs...

Question for the detailing Gurus...

I washed my car yesterday and I noticed several small blacks dots/specks on my bumper. I tried to scrub them off with soap and water but they started smearing like it was blue ink.

Do you guys think claying would remove this without smearing the blue all over my bumper or should I use a more abrasive liquid detergent?

I use ZCS and I understand that I would have to reapply if I chose either method.

Thanks!

It looks like ink, if so, try some dawn.

Try some clay and if that doesn't do it, a mild cleaner/ploish like AIO. That should do it.

Good ideas, has anyone else experienced this before and if so how did you get it resolved.

I don't think it is ink because I have no idea how ink would end up on the back of my car.

They smeared with soap/water, but clay didn't get them off??? I would question the clay technique/duration, cause I even got wrought-iron overspray off my motorcycle, and paint transfer from a collision off my niece's with clay. . .

p.s. not professional, weekend warrior

I used Zaino's clay and I lubed it with Zaino car wash mixed with water to dilute.

It did make the marks smaller but it still did not remove it completely...

Any other ideas?

Keep going! If it's getting smaller, it's working. Claying won't take huge chuncks of material off, that's part of why it's so safe. And keep turning/folding that clay, so you don't scrub the contaminant back into your paint.

Man, I scrubbed my bumper forever with the clay bar...

It did shave off the bumps and the specs did get smaller but it will not go away completely. Now they are smaller blue specs that will not come off.

I have tried lighter fluid, goo gone, various household sprays, and the clay bar and these damn little things will not come out. There are probably 25-30 of these things that are driving me crazy!!!

Somebody help me

Zaino clay sucks. try using medium clay magic, or try using WD40 it usually works on stains like that.
