Coding for seat swapping

I have a 07 e92 328xi and will be swapping to sport seats from a 13 of the same model(Pre-lci car receiving lci seats). Heated, power, memory remains the same. I'm reading that there's some special headrest in the new seats that may cause a code to be thrown in my car. I have Carly so I can do some coding if need be. Anyone do this swap already that can provide some insight? Thanks in advance as any insight is appreciated!

You won't be able to code out any airbag related codes with Carly. You'd need protool or ncs expert. Once you install the seat, scan the car for faults and remove the warnings that would be stored in the airbag module via protool or ncs expert.

I was figuring that my ecu in an 07 wouldn't know the headrest from a 12 wasn't connected so it would be fine. Can't get my arms around the idea that a plug on a seat that isn't for my car will throw a code, I can be thick I suppose. Guess I have to learn a new coding system, or preferably pay someone with a understanding of how to do it.

You should be fine. The plug for the headrest is separate from the main rectangular one. No coding should be needed
