Error BB30 DME internal fault-help
Hello,
First my car is a 2008 e90 335i, it has JB4, burger intakes, catless downpipes, bigger intercoler, Muffler deleted, oil catch can and I run usually 30% E85. Few weeks ago car was driving sometimes rough, with lost of power, engine light blinking, it after few minutes everything was normal again. I run few tests, most of the times I got all types of errors related with a bad battery, so I went ahead and I got a new battery, I registered it and the error BB30 persisted, a considerable lost of power and engine icon light in yellow. I was reading in the forum that the DME fuses can be a cause or the mosfets, I checked all fuses in the globe compartment (I didn’t find any inside the DME compartment). I took the DME and with my Fluke omnimeter I check drain-source I got about 370 K ohms and drain-gate 0 ohms. I call the dealer, they said they may need to replace DME, injectors and coils just to be sure. I recently replace water pump and thermostat, new tires and few cosmetics things, So basically I’m with no money to pay a shop to repair it. Any help would be appreciated. One last thing, my scanner is a Launch X431 Pro. |
