Troubleshooting
So the last few months I've had this random throttle body error. Usually when cold or just starting out but related to throttle-off.
Error codes 2D07 2DF6 2DF7 I tried pulling the throttle body plug and cleaning with out success. I was beginning to think the throttle body was going out. I've read about similar problems on others cars all leading to the throttle body and that seemed like the likely cause. I then hit a bump while driving under the above conditions and the car announced the similar error. Reduced power, not happy etc etc. This got me thinking about a loose wire plug elsewhere. Using INPA l pulled up the throttle signals page and started shaking cables, sure enough, the cable leading into the DME would case wild voltage fluctuations in those circuits. Pulled the DME harness cleaned up the contacts with cleaner and tested again. Problem seems fixed. Would have been a nightmare to resolve without live monitoring in INPA. I wonder how many other problems could have been resolved by watching INPA. Just sharing..... |
