+1 I had my jb2x installed with blue painter tape for about 6 months, and when I removed it to installed the jb3, it came off clean, and held good.

Just make sure to fold it in half and stick it to itself over top of the connectors (to make a little blue flag with the wire in the middle of the tape). Then write the subconnector and pin number on the blue tape if you really wanna be cool

Or you can use heat shrinks from Radio Shack. This will insure that they:

A: Dont come off
B: Protect the connection from kinking by hardening
C: Allow for easy removal (just took my tune out and a pair of eye brow scissors from my girlfriends makeup bag did the trick)
D: Leaves no sticky residue

Although you have to use heat to shrink them, its pretty simple...just be sure to isolate the wire from the others with a heat shield made from a cut up tin can.
