E92 M3 VS 135i coupe

Impressive for the 135i, i think. Its a cracking car which is growing on me. Shame it looks like a 1er from the front though LOL...

I have only seen a handful of them on the road...?! how many have you guys seen?

Something even more impressive that i know a 335d which does the same time

Just about all the 135i owners on mtorque are selling up and going back to M3's though.

They are good for straight lines, but no where near as good as the M3 where it really counts.

A remapped 135i is seriously quick though, you will see 4.7 seconds every time, but not as poised as an M3 when it comes to handling.

Thats the beauty of the 135, take the badges off, it looks nothing.....ultimate stealth.

I'd like to drop the engine in a mk1 Escort.

I'd take an M3 everytime - the looks, the sound, the handling

Interesting gIzzE that 135i owners are ditching there cars, didn't know that

OP, suggest you spend some time at 1addicts.com which does have many active members in the UK as well as N Europe and Oz. I think you'll find a broader blend of comments there about the One than here.

Did anyone just see the 135 beat the M3??? No one is talking about the race i dont speak or understand the language they were talking in so i dont know if it was stock for stock but i am very immpressed with the race. A 1-series beating an M3 WOW!!!

There's no way the 135 could beat the M3 if they were stock with similarly skilled drivers. With all mods available today, a 135/335 can get to about the same BHP as a M3 but the modded 135/335 would have way more torque maybe even be lighter as well? Now the LSD on the M3 and power delivery will become a factor as well.. Handling won't be the same either..

Sorry thinking out loud..
