Marriott continues to be a trendsetter when it comes to an environmental approach in the hospitality industry. More than 7000 hotels with over 1.2 million rooms. More than 350 million bottles of shampoo, 350 million bottles of conditioner, 350 million bottles of soap are purchased by this hotel chain every month. I haven't bought shampoo in over ten years. I always get more before I checkout. Yes, my wife and girls always get special soaps/conditioner for their type of hair, but I like the little bottles. Soon Hyatt, Hilton and IHG are going to follow so I'm stocking up, lol! Six trips planned by Christmas 2019, that'll be 60 mini shampoos |

How is that stealing? You paid for that room. And those are consumables.

It's not, but I did take like over 15 little bottles
definitely pushing what's allowed, I like to keep and use the miniatures, every flight I keep the mini bags they give you, sorta like a collection (never use) Lufthansa flight to Germany gave us little amenities with a cool mini bag, I put it with my temp Euro plate in my man-cave Patches too, every city and country on my canvas duffle bag NYC to Tokyo |

this should have been done ages ago... my 2 recent stays... one in NYC and one in Dal both had the fillup larger bottles...
srs question... how does one make sure there is no jizz in these larger bottles? will they be locked?

I'm a contractor (commercial roofs) I'm all over New England, often staying at mid tier hotels, think courtyard and residents inn
I get 2 beds in my room tho I'm just 1 person, I bring a lite blanket and a pillow, never walk barefoot always flip flops or slippers Jizz is everywhere, it's a fact, try not to think about someone fu**ed a whore on the wall and counter just before your checkin |

And by the way, what they offer is of such minor quality. Even if you can afford expensive hotels that should provide something beyond just "regular" (Do they? ) you should be able to afford something better still. I wouldn't take a hotel's TV even if they offered. I like the best I can have. |

Seems like an expensive approach to buy toiletries.

As frequent traveller I would also agree that this isn't stealing into first point of view. But on the flipside you're enlarging an average calculated amount of toiletries and that maybe wouldn't compensate the underscore from other guests whom use less or none of the offered goods. Just to say I paid for it is quite too short imo when exceeding unboxing the box of Pandora, so to speak.
I would get a slightly bad feeling at collecting such enormous amounts of stuff.

2/3 of my travel is in low to mid tier hotels, just decent places to rest from Maine to Connecticut, these stays I'm just in n out nothing to take with me (boring amenities) Nicer places it's a different story |

I guess you could bring your own bottles and then dump the contents from the dispensers into them.

this is all press:
Marriott doesn't care about the world. recycling is a PR stunt. The shampoo makers get a lot of PR by being featured in the hotels and probably sell dirt cheap to them. they probably like the small bottle concept. they should just have dispensers everywhere in the bathroom. Like my gym;just have a huge soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser on the wall |

I don’t stay in hotels that often anymore and bring my own stuff when I do so don’t really care. However, this is about Marriott squeezing a few bucks of cost out under the guise of caring about the environment. Just like when they ask you to reuse the same towels and skip housekeeping and supermarkets promoting bring your own bags.

You guys also bring a thermos to fast food places and fill up at the fountains and also take home ketchup packets by the handful? It's ok assuming you paid for a combo right?
