Even though black interior is nice, I dont think you wanna get Sapphire WITH black interior. If you're gonna get Sapphire get the brown leather. Either that or get some other color with Black interior.

Doesnt black saphire turn dark grey in the light, and loses alot of the shine?

Sg, looks like a granny car...

I'd go with jet black on black or lemon.

I looked at that aswell before ordering, and then finally seeing both together made up my mind

I found SG looked great when clean and in the sun, but out the sun or dirty it really didnt do it for me, while Black looked great in all lights and not too bad when dirty.

I would have loved Jet Black because its always nice and dark black, whereas the metallic Sapphire shows off its metallic gold flakes when in bright sunlight, but the M Sport pack is only available in Black Sapphire and not Jet Black, so I took the Saphhire

Its looks perfect with the Black Leather

No, Black on Black looks perfect, and even better with the Black roofliner from the M Sports Pack

I was torn between black sapphire/black and SG/black like you, picked black sapphire in the end, I've had black cars in the past, yes it's a bitch to keep clean, but when it's clean, boy, does it SHINE!

BMW uses sparkling graphite in all of its brochures for a reason - they decided the car looked best in this color.

It's also a new color so you won't it as much.

I have sparkling graphite with black leather interior - with poplar wood.

Everyone comments on the combination (positively).

Are you going to the BMW Partner on the Gumpendorferstraße?

If you haven't already, go through the pics here.

And then go to your dealer to check 'em out in person. I swear that settling on color for this car was the hardest freakin' thing to do. Other options were easy, but color... oh man!

I went black/black, silver/black, black/terra to black/black. Dealer thinks I am a nut. Now the car is in production, I wish I had silver/black, no... artic/black, no... black/terra... aaargh!

---

Back to your dilemma. If it's mostly sunny where you live, be wary of SG. It is a nice color in most light, but the purplish tinge in bright sun can make it look odd sometimes. I'd recommend black/black, but then I'm biased. That's what I ordered.

my current car is black saph./black and i love it. it still looks great after 4 years, no fading. i just ordered a 330i tiag/black because i wanted a different color on this car. i have seen the sg and for me i just dont like it. color is a personal choice but i would go with your first choice. your just getting nervous about waiting for your car like most of us do.

Asking that question will not yield you any help. All the Saphhire black guys are gonna tell you to buy Black, and all the SG guys are going to tell you to buy SG.

Well, I'm gonna go against the grade. Buy Black, cause I wish I did!!!

I went thru the same thing with color combos! My wife thought I was nuts. I even had what I call "my blue period".
I loved Terra from the first time I saw it, with Black. But when I first saw SG, I was hooked! I actually like the sometimes-purplish hue. It's a subtle effect, but I've only seen it at the dealership a few times.

Anyway...my advice is to stick with your first choice. I'm sure you gave it a lot of thought prior to ordering, and maybe you're just having "wedding day jitters".

I have Jet Black and Black Interior, it looks a bit dull from outside.
First choice go for SG + Black

A definite case of jitters and buyers remorse. Not that I have true remorse, but whenever I spend this much green on anything, I spend the next month thinking did I do the right thing. The wait is what drives me to insanity.

Anyways, now I'm locked into black/black. She's in production and I have a VIN.

Oh, and by the way. I had no jitters on my wedding day. Took a 10 year test drive before tying the knot...
