Injector values check please
Hi,
So my car is smoking pretty much all the time, but when it’s warmed up it’s worse. Smoke is light blue/grey and with the MAF disconnected it appears to get better. Also with maf plugged in, I get more black smoke. These are my INPA values. Top picture is about 20/30.seconds after start up. Second is once warm and after giving it some WOT. Third is when warm with maf disconnected after a restart and some WOT. When on Wot with the maf unplugged injector 5 and 6 didn’t go nearly as high and highest was about 1.5, whereas with it plugged it in what 1.9 Thoughts? Could my injectors be causing this smoke? 154k miles if that helps Last edited by DG330; 09-11-2019 at 06:25 PM.. |

It looks fine. Cold values are not valid test. Warm looks ok the last one best because you fully warmed up.
I think it's your tune doing something with the egr or throttle or trying to regen. Did you block off your egr? If so and it's not tuned out you will get issues. Dodgy uk tunes lol |

last one is with the maf unplugged after idle for a min and before that some WOT. What do you think about image two in the middle? injector six is going quite far out. This was during WOT or just after.
No, EGR is there, but the sensor has made that thumping sound before. No ECU code for it though. I've got a replacement sensor/solenoid and new vacuum hose to replace all of it under the intake. Black smoke is reduced with either the EGR or MAF unplugged. Both removes 95% of black smoke, but still get idle blue/grey, but not as much. |

When you unplug the maf, it won't use the throttle valve. Bad tuning will try to use that valve thinking a regen is needed and that will cause smoke. Can you try a short run with the throttle unplugged.

Not unless you're leaking tons of oil... It's there to save you by shutting down it cuts the air to engine. Kook at the other thread I bet you have a bollocks tune lol
