Would anyone be interested in swapping your wood trim for my aluminum trim? The car is a 2006 330i manual transmission without idrive or nav. I haven't bought the car yet but hope to find someone willing to swap the trim before I sign the deal.

I have wood trim w/ idrive for the 2006 E90. Not sure if this would work for you or not. I can send photos or whatever, the biggest problem is the Idrive part.

I just picked up the car yesterday. The brushed aluminum Trim is in excellent condition with no dings/dents. I've received multiple PMs already interested in swap.
However, here are my restrictions:
1) only looking for local swaps between San Francisco and San Jose.
2) dark wood trim must be in excellent condition with no dings/dents
3) I would like somebody who could help me install the new trim coz I have no idea how to remove/install them.

i have dark would set that i took off the car at about 2k miles i'd be willing to swap with you (as long as you dont mind doing shipping between us both)

and the DIY guide on this is REALLY good, you shouldn't have a problem. I did my whole set in under 40 min. Most important thing to remember is when prying off old trim pieces, use an old credit card or gift card BETWEEN the trim and flathead screwdriver you are using. that way it doesn't ding up the trim. its more of a lifting action than prying but read up on it and you'll get it.

heres the DIY for you to peak at, i should have some pics posted in there too.

The trim is still available for swap.
I'd really prefer to do it locally and with someone who know how to install/remove the trim since I don't want to damage them.
