Alloys , interior trim and the rest.
If i keep my 335D touring im planning on treating her to some new alloys and a few little tweaks inside and out. I've been looking in the gallery section on this forum but does anyone know of a few more UK distributors of alloys and kit for our BMW's ?
Thx |

I've just found these wheels on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-ALLOY-WHEEL...d=p3286.c0.m14
Does anyone know if there are any problems in fitting 20" wheels on an E91 ? |

They look shite!!!
haha, I know it is all personal opinion but the local crack dealer has them on his E36, well I say crack dealer but I think he just sells some home grown weed that gets you a headache and nothing more. Get Ant to sell you some CSL's for £750 mate, they will look good on the grey touring. |

Kevin has a 335i E92 on 20" wheels at Bird's, and he said they are 1" too big, OK it's not an E91, but I'm quite sure the same would apply. As Gizze stated, get some CSL's from Ant, lovely wheels and a steal for the money. |

I'm not after those wheels its the size im thinking of. I've seen a few csl wheels on the gallery section and they look a bit small Guy
![]() The ones i like are the BBS LM but i have a feeling they will be a little too bling in real life for me. I want to also remove the roof rails on my car , do you know how ? And last but not least i would like someone to come a clean and polish it + inside , any recommendation would be helpful ? P.s do you know where i can buy these insert from for the interior ? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164973 |

I have just bought some carbon leather for doing exactly that, should be here on Tuesday, I had to buy twice what I needed and it cost me £96, so if you want half then let me know.
I would look at the ACS magic black wheels on your car, seen them on a graphite touring and they looked amazing!! They were 20" btw. but not cheap. But you could also put on 19" CSL rims and some stiffer suspension, will still be comfy if you use non run flats. I have also been considering removing the roof rails too. Don't think it is that hard, there is a trim piece you can buy to put in there, you need to take the headlining down to do it though, that is the bit that puts me off. |

Scoot,
Trim wise the carbon leather sounds good, if difficult. It'll be interesting to see how gIzzE's turns out (and how fiddly he finds it round the curvy bits!). Other options (that crossed my mind if I had managed to prise your car from you as I think you mentioned it had a scratch on the trim), would be to either fill the scratch and spray the parts gloss black and laquer them to achieve a "piano black" type finish. This may need to goto a paint shop to get a good finish, but I can't see them charging that much to do it. Alternatively get a spare set of trims and try the same in case it ended up looking naff - but I don't think it would. Wheel wise for me it would have to be a BMW wheel - but no reason why some nice staggered 18"s or 19"s of M5 (multispoke) or M6 type couldn't go on - I think these look really good on E9x as long as the stagger/dish at the back is right and they don't look too much like some of the cheaper copies. Other option would be to be perhaps the very FIRST person to ever put Carlos Styling 230 19" E92 wheels on an M-Sport Touring - I think these would look great. |

Yep - ^^^^ those ones look the biz - I searched a while ago and couldn't figure out a website for where he sourced them from though.
Could be wrong but I'm not sure any of the UK ebay ones look anywhere near as good as those. The rear dish effect above is often missing on the ebay ones (most aren't staggered for E9x) and as a result they don't look nearly as good. The M6 ones seem less prone to this being a problem visually. |

I bought a spare set of trims off ebay for £50 to try the carbon on, if it looks shite it will become piano gloss black, the BMW body shop have quoted £130+vat to spray it all.
So £180 to get a complete set of Piano trim is pretty good. Will get £150 back for the M-Sport trim on ebay as well. |

Those M5 reps look much better on the Touring but the mob selling those 20" wheels are quite good, with a good reputation as on another car forum, members bought from them and had a good experience. Contact them if you like and see if they can get you anything more suitable 'cos 20" is a bit too big and can give you problems with rubbing... as for the price of new tyres

20" won't give problems with rubbing, if the offset and width is the same they will be exactly the same as you change the tyre profile.
You will however loose a lot of comfort going to 20's. I have been in a 535d with the 20" ACS wheels and that was not great, and the 5 uses a profile higher. |

Guy, is there anyone you know that could fit that carbon leather professionally as it looks a tricky job ?
Will stick with 19" if i go down this route. Need to find some more pics of CSL wheel on a saloon or touring. Bling Bling |
