Is the 6 series still available in other countries besides the USA, or is it coming back in 2020?

It's available in other countries. LCI model for the 2020 year. Don't believe it's coming back to the US.

I guess because it hasn't been released yet so they may as well add it, but no need to rush it into the already released, low volume M340i.

They'll probably bring it over for LCI

It's very interesting for BMW not to bring the LCI model when the model (current one) was officially launched in the US market.

Highly doubt it sold well here. In person I've probably only seen 2. The GT sits in an odd place amongst the competitors in the US.

I think there is a mechanical reason why the diesels needed it sooner (speaking to the G20 chassis only), but agreed by the LCI hopefully all G20 models receive this.

So only diesels M340xd? Petrol on M440i and M440x?

Or am I reading this incorrectly?

Also, any specs on the M340 and M440 versions (as the F30 ActiveHybrid 3 had faster 0-60 specs with the electric motor than the F30 335i)?

It's like it was targeted at the A7 but it couldn't get the sleekness done right. Albeit you'll probably have more head room in the 6 compared to the A7 so I guess that's a plus

With the G8x models being 2021 or later, should we expect 48v to come there, too? There's some added weight, but I think you can save weight in the wiring and you can also improve engine power (as described in the link).

This is attractive to me because my car is my office, so I idle (for heating or cooling) much much more than the average vehicle owner. This system seemingly would allow me to heat or cool the car without idling the engine all the time.

The question I have is what sacrifice in storage/utility do I need to make to accommodate this system? Where is the 48v battery going? What storage space is going to be used to hold this battery? Storage space is very, very important to me.

Will this feature be standard on all listed models or will it be some optional hybrid package/model?
