Mushy after install SS lines

Hi,

I went to a reputable Indy shop and they installed ECS Tuning Exact-Fit Stainless Steel Brake Lines and did a brake fluid flush.

I went to get the car right before closing. Immediately I noticed more brake travel. It doesn't feel as sharp, immediate as the stock brake lines.

Is this normal? I was expecting no difference or if anything a little bit more tight reaction. I'm taking it to the track this weekend so want to make sure this was done correctly.

Wrong bleeding or something is not tight? Does it change when you pump it prior to slam on it? I had well bled brake system and a placement of SS made a noticeable difference - faster, sharper reaction.

I would ask the shop if they activated the ABS module while doing the brake flush, this is the proper way to ensure all fluid (and potential air bubbles) are removed from the lines. I would just ask them to re-bleed the brakes and see if that helps.

You need to use ISTA D to activate the ABS system.

Then do an old school bleed.

They re-bled loosened and retightened conectioms and now feels like it did with stock. Think ok.

That said, I’m getting bad vibration/judder under heavy braking.

Could be your front tension strut bushings or pad deposits on the rotor.

Shocking that they didn't roadtest the car after the work..
