Cracked windshield, is the dealer the best option?

So annoyed, I have less than 500 miles on my car and a rock or something hit my windshield while I was driving on the highway and it not only left a rock chip but a crack across half of the glass.

Anyway I have all of the different options on my car including driver assistance pro, so there are a lot of cameras and stuff on the car. I know I need oem glass but I think the best place to take the car is the dealer, would everyone agree? The dealer should be able to re-align all the cameras and make sure everything works.

Wanted to see what others thought.

Attached is the crack, definitely not repairable

For sure, if you have the HUD the windscreen is not standard either needs to be the correct one so it project the image correctly.
Hope you have windscreen cover

What windscreen cover? Sorry not following, I do have HUD though. At the dealer now, they said the same thing, but of course they did

EDIT- Oh did you mean windshield coverage? I have it through my insurance company but not through the dealer.

I've had good experience with this shop in the past and they will use OEM glass if you request it. https://www.yelp.com/biz/windshield-city-chantilly

If you go to dealer, ask if they will do the work in house or use 3rd party.

Thanks -- BMW of Sterling said they would do the work in house, don't know if anyone has experience using them before - they're the closest dealer to me.

Out of curiosity what did this cost you in the end?

Insurance paid for it, so it was just my deductible. The dealer did charge quite a bit though, it was a little over $2K to replace it.
