For Sale: Brand New Dinan Upgraded Competition Oil Cooler

Hello All,

I have decided to move in a different direction and have a Dinan oil cooler that has never been used. Part #D570-0902 for the 2009-2010 BMW e90 335i and 335xi This unit replaces the factory unit with a much bigger oil cooler and includes the metal ducting to guide air flow into the cooler. The cooler also comes with upgraded SS braided lines that replace the factory ones with a rubber exterior. The product description and its relation to the factory unit can be found below (directly from the Dinan Website):

The BMW 335i/xi comes from the factory with an auxiliary radiator smaller than a half sheet of paper. It will do little to keep the "limp mode" or heat soak away during a track day.

The Dinan High Capacity Oil Cooler provides literally twice the volume of the stock unit, as well as 414 sq./in. of cooling tube vs. 112.5, and that's really just the beginning. Nicely integrated inlet ducting provides greater airflow efficiencies and the ventilation of air to the fender well has also been improved with a larger outlet. The system mounts neatly in the stock location and includes lightweight convoluted PTFE hoses with polyester outer braid fitted with race-quality fittings.

Specifications:
Total Volume Stock: 9.5 oz. / Total Volume Dinan: 19 oz.
Stock Surface Area: 45 sq./in. / Dinan Surface Area: 67.5 sq./in.
Stock Cooling Tubes: 10 / Dinan Cooling Tubes: 23
Stock Tube Length: 90 in. / Dinan Tube Length: 207 in.
Stock Tube Area: 112.5 sq./in. / Dinan Tube Area: 414 sq./in.

The results of the oil cooler upgrade are quite significant, with the temperature gauge holding steady even under high load/high boost scenarios. And for those of you who track their cars, even occasionally, the Dinan oil cooler is a must.

The oil cooler has never been installed or taken out of the plastic. The retail price is $1500 + shipping and tax as seen on the Dinan website here:

https://www.dinancars.com/product/d5...ry-oil-cooler/

Retail price is $1495 + tax and shipping new from Dinan.

**11.19 Update** Price is $Sold.
**11.28 Update** Pictures of actual item in hand have been added

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Thanks

Kuch - It is possible. In order to run this or any oil cooler on your car for that matter, you will need to convert your cars oil filter housing to one that has external points for an oil cooler with the parts seen here:

https://prnt.sc/pvp235

Regardless of whether you buy my oil cooler or not, you should definitely run one as this platform runs incredibly hot without it! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Will this fit 2011 335i E90? Or does it only fit the 335is?

I had to dig in on the Dinan website a little more to better understand as they have over 10 part numbers/iterations for this same product on the e90/e92 platform. This is very odd because if you look at other makers of oil coolers for this platform, they only offer 1 type for the 335i even when enclosures are provided, regardless if you have an e90 an e92 an e93 or if you are pre lci or lci.

According to Dinan, this oil cooler is specifically made for the 2009-2010 e90 335i or 335xi.

There are two different part numbers for the 2011+ e90's, one for the m-tech bumper and one with the standard bumper. The part make ups do look the same with respect to the adapter, oil cooler and lines. The difference may stem from the housing that routes the air into the cooler, but I am not 100% sure on this.

I can follow up with Dinan to get a better answer specifically what that difference is to see if this will work for you and if so, what you would need to make it work.

Sincerely,
-Kooshi3

Ok I did see that just now too on the slight variations. If you can look into what parts I need to buy additionally to make it work on my E90 with Mtech bumper I'd appreciate it. I plan on getting their stage 3 tune this next week which requires an oil cooler. Thanks again!
