ClearBra: thanks to Marco
I would just like to post a big thank you to Marco
(519) 903-0430 for the work he performed on my 330i. ClearBra "invisibility": acceptable ClearBra install: Very Good to Excellent (i'm a near-perfectionist, so this is a big compliment to Marco) Marco customer service: Excellent Marco is a great guy who is very personable and conducted himself with a high degree of professionalism at all times during our meetings. Without going into details, lets just say that he went above and beyond the call of duty. I would not hesitate to provide a recommendation to Marco and his services, and would not hesitate to enlist his services on another car when the times comes. Thanks pal! ![]()

I see you got the partial hood, partial fenders. Did you get anything else (i.e. headlights, bumper, foglights)?

I *think* it was Venture Shield, but i'll let Marco chime in here.
The front bumper was done as well, including lower lip. Also the side mirrors and rear trunk lip.

I'm currently in the market for a clear bra. I received a quote from Marco in the past, but he was asking like $800 or $900. I'm sure his work is great but that is a little to expensive IMO.

Ya, I just have to +3 that. I see a lot (like, a lot, lot lot) of clear bras and without sounding like I am Marco's lover, no one in this city comes close to his install quality. You guys know me well enough to know I wouldn't recommend someone who wasn't good. I was the same as bolty; had a crap 3m job and got Marco to replace it, 1000x better and the crappy one cost almost as much :/

Still shopping around. This is something I definitely need. I promised myself I wouldn't invest anymore money into my car.

7oo bucks, i just didnt want to spend anymore money. my only regret, not putting enough aside to get a clear bra, IMMEDIATELY after purchase. ive had the car for about four months now, and got a MAJOR rock chip + dent...a few other chips here and there, but nothing too noticable, defintely not to anyone else, but noticable to me. if you wait, like i did...you will say to yourself, WHY DIDNT I JUST GET IT...instead of pondering about it, having something bad happen...then wish you did it instead of sitting on the fence. Im planning on being in TO in the next couple of weeks, maybe after my detail, ill talk to Marco about a bra. |

Just a quick on-line thanks to Marco for his care and attention in applying VentureShield film to my wife's new AW 335xi sedan. He's a real professional, courteous and does a fantastic job. Had the 24" hood, fender and mirrors set plus the trunk lip and lights. He customizes the cuts to the hood so the fit is superb. Took him almost 3 hours - thanks Marco!!!
I was a little worried about clear bra on white but it looks great and I only wish I'd done it to my Monaco Blue coupe a couple of years ago. As for photos, there's nothing to see! ![]() |

Nice work but that is alot of money especially if you are just doing the hood and part of the fenders.
the VW Dealer in Brampton has a guy that does it here for 240 for the hood and fenders. Kris

I'll have to take my car to Brampton VW for its service then....
![]() You get what you pay for. There are cheaper alternatives but they don't last as long, don't protect as well and are not so well installed. Check out parking lots for examples of ClearBra screw-ups. |

I've been using clear bras for many many years over many cars and I can say that you get what you pay for. I've experience crap jobs and even crap clear bra quality. My last clear bra was 3M thinking that it was one of the best on the market, I couldn't go wrong. But the 3M turned yellowish after about a year and a half.
Those who are looking for the lowest price so that you simply have something slapped on, that's exactly what you're going to get. You can make the call from there. Marco installed the clear bra on my M3 vert and I'm very satisfied with the workmanship. And, I don't think I'm more anal than the next guy on this forum.
