Most Legit/Accurate Currency Exchange Rates?
i borrowed money from my friend's dad in thailand during my stay (mad chill w/ me) and i pay him when i return back to the states. actually it was easiest if i just pay one of my friend's sister in manhattan and she take care of it from there so i did.
i used the currency rate from xe.com and bangkok.com and it is 1usd=34.2825THB. she called me today and asked me where i got the rates from cause they are a complete rip and said the bank's exchange rate is 1usd=32 or something. note that she works at a bank selling bonds or something. she says it's only like $50 and it's ok and all, but im not the type of person to let this go. i known the kid from elementary school and i don't care if it's a penny i still give people back exactly what i borrowed. so anyone here know a good site for very accurate exchange rates? i want to mail her what is missing. yes im awesome like that

I forgot to mention, don't even think about mailing money because the success rate of sending the funds via postal is very low as someone finds a way to get the money out of the envelope or box. Success rate I think is under 25% even if you are clever. Me? I'm going back in December... I can't wait...

thanks guys. sorry for the misunderstanding. only my friend and his dad are living in thailand. all his sisters are here in ny and the closest one to me is the one in manhattan so i gave her US currency for the amount i owed her dad in thai baht.
i sent the money via postal money order, overnight, insured, and signature required.

The rate of exchange you see on xe.com is the mid market rate. It will jump numerous times a minute. What you don't see is that when you exchange with them the rate is lower because xe.com still needs to make some commission/profit on the transaction. The only way to be absolutely certain you repay your debt fully is to repay in the same currency you borrowed the money; if you borrowed in Baht, repay in Baht; if you borrowed in dollars, repay in dollars. I do commend you on your desire to pay exactly what you owe. Not always possible but that's life in the currency exchange world.
