LAX no front license plate ticket?
Does anyone know if you drive to LAX and you don't have a front license plate, will they mail you a fix ticket? Supposedly, every car that enters LAX gets their photo taken and if you don't have a front license plate, they will send you a fix it. Just wanted some confirmation if its true since it sounds pretty crazy.

Yes, LAX sucks! A while back, I drove my rsx with no front plates to fly out somewhere. Right before I got to the parking lot, I got pulled over for no front plates and for tinted windows. Luckily she was nice enough to just give me a fix-it ticket for no front plates.
Afterwards, I had no choice but to park there and had no way of putting my front plate back on since I had to depart. When I came back from my trip 2 days later, I saw another ticket on my windshield for no front plates! I ended up having to pay for both tickets even though I wasn't even in the state and had no chance of putting my plate back on before departing

Been to LAX many times without a front plate, even parked in the structures there but only when dropping off or picking somebody up. If I fly out, I always park in a lot outside of LAX because I know they'll ticket my car when they go around.
Usually the time they'll pull you over is when you're entering the terminals, and you have to drive through the police blockades. And if they're bored with no cars sitting over on the side, they will pull you over. |
