E90 Rear Bumnper Protector - Fitting?

I've just bought the clear strip that protects the top of the rear bumper (wife put a big scratch on it with suitcase, so closing the door a bit too late here). The kit has come with no instructions, so has anyone fitted one or have an idea what to do? The kit came with:
  1. The strip on backing paper - pretty obvious what to do with it.
  2. A strip of paper rolled with the above strip - is this just to protect the protector?
  3. A scraper - I'm guessing to smooth the strip down.
  4. A packet of what I'm assuming to contain a cleaning wipe.
  5. A packet of clear oil like liquid - no idea what this is for?
Any help accepted before I waste £20 and a load of time ruining it!

Cheers

Think you have to wipe down the surface.. I would wash it first and give an alcohol based wipe down.

Then add the oily liquid, but a small amount and roll the protector and gently remove air from it and position it fully.

Then leave it to dry.. I did something similar with headlight protector film.

Disclaimer, the oil bit above may be incorrect so worth calling up someone who fits these protectors, look on detailingworld.co.uk

you should be able to go to the dealer and ask them to print off a copy of the installation instructions......that's what I did, even though I haven't got round to fitting mine yet (and it's been over 6months!!!)

Do they do one for the Touring? My Boxer won't cut his toe-nails no matter how much I ask him.
