I've heard some other stories like that, and its pretty messed up. How F up in the head would you have to be to do something like that. And he was ashamed of people laughing at him is a lame excuse. People care more now about disabled people then they do laugh.

Love him/her and get him/her ready for Special Olympics. I've not been blessed with one of those special angles, but one of my son's favorite non-related friends is, and he can never forget her. Not because she's a special angel, but because they have a great time playing together. My son is a different angel, one with no prejudice and one blessed with an amazing warm heart.

Love him just like my other two children...take exceptional pride in his accomplishments...and take comfort in the fact that he is a very loving little boy who does not have a mean bone in his body...he will never hurt another human being...he will never disappointment me by lying, stealing, doing drugs, teasing others or just being an ass like so many "normal" kids are (my others included)

Max always welcomes me with a hug and kiss...and all he asks for in return is some chocolate milk and oreos
