Escalade or Denali?
So Im looking to get an SUV as we just sold our past one and need to get something new. Im looking at Escalades and Denalis in the 02-06 year range. They both have all of the same features as far as I can tell and both are in the same price range. Does anybody have experiences with either as to why one would be more advantageous to the other. Im not looking for opinions on telling me not to get either because for my situation and the things i need it for those are the two best candidates. Thanks

I have an '02 Escalade...at first it was all like "oohhh Escalade, exclusive..." (mind you this was in 2001) but now nobody could give to shits less and the car is aging poorly. A lot of minor squeaks/rattles etc. issues. But otherwise it's been pretty reliable and the car is comfortable. Needless to say no one in my family gives a crap about it anymore and it's kind of the beater car now.
The Denali is PRETTY MUCH the exact same as the Escalade...both made by GM. |

Yea thats why i was looking for some opinions, cant really see any reason why i would pick one over the other. Not really buying either for the wow factor.

I've driven the 08 Escalade EXT. My uncle has one.
It drives pretty well, and the updates to the car add a great feel of luxury to it. Personally, I love the Escalade more then the Denali. It's kind of like having to pick between a Lexus ES, or a Toyota Camry. |

Just buy a Tahoe. No need to spend extra for a Tahoe with a Caddy badge.
Trailblazer SS' are sweet as hell. 6.0L in a mid-size SUV. |

Ok keep in mind this is a third car, for all of those who keep telling me to get new Escalades and new tahoes and x6s, I really wish i could afford all of those cars but with two bmws, house and boat, I dont have that spare change. I know neither of them are excellent cars but for what i need it for they both do what i want. Just looking to hear some opinions from those who own or have owned either.

This comparison is pretty much doomed from the beginning. If your not looking for a car that will give a 'wow' factor I see no reason to get a Escalade or a Denali as there are plenty of other cars that fit the same if not better utility as those do. However, since you don't want any other vehicle suggestions I'm just going to get my post count up.
And between the 2, I'd pick the Escalade. Simply for the reason that I think the name Denali is dumb.
