Has anyone lowered their subframe?

Curious if anyone's done this here. Got a few questions about lowering the subframe and hanging it by the suspension components. I'm thinking of doing motor mounts in the future.

1. Is the process identical to the N54?
2. Are there any concerns about the coolant hard lines flexing and breaking?
3. Is it safe to lower the subframe with the steering rack still attached?

Been following this video here for the N54, but I don't know what's different for the N55:

Do you have an xi? No need to drop the subframe for motor mounts.
