E90 Pre-LCI Sport Seats W/ Memory and Heat to M3 Seats

Hi,

I have an E90 Pre Lci with sport seats w/ heat, and memory that are starting to look a little tired, some stitching is coming loose on the left lower leg bolster.

I'd like to switch to M3 seats that have the same features, are they plug and play, regardless of LCI or Pre-LCI? I can only find retrofit threads on non-heated to heat or non-sport to sport.

Ideally I'd try to find Pre-LCI E90 M3 seats, w/ heat and memory. But is there any complications of doing LCI seats with the same features?

Thanks,

You might be ok being that you have sport seats now. I'm not sure when BMW made the LCI M3. 08' was the first year of the e90 M3. In the 335, 09' was the first year of LCI. Not sure if BMW made the M3 LCI in 09' or not.

I think they made the LCI in 10-12? I know there are some LCI E90s out there. I saw some LCI E90 seats. I think the only thing I have to really worry about is the active headrests, which from what I read is just an additional plug that can be left out.

www.lseat.com has skin to replace your leather. You can buy the bolster forms or repair it while replacing the skin. Much lower cost.

I bought pair of LCI sport seat from some guy (no car), but they had FAKE leather, unlike the pre LCI sport seats I've seen, or my LCI non-sport seat.

Watch out for those, too.

That's pretty cool. Did you order from them? Looks like they don't make the rear seats for an e90.

If you did order from them, were you able to put the new leather on yourself or did you have to take it somewhere?

I haven't got them, yet. They are made to order. Will take a few days.
Most ppl don't need rears replaced. You can buy them cheap on eBay

Read this thread.

I've put LCI M3 seats in my pre-lci and had to do this to get my lumbar to work. Everything else works without changing anything.
