My Ode to ///MFest II
On my home back from work later this evening, I felt this emptiness inside. Call me mellow dramatic, but I just realized I wasn't in Vegas having the time of my life with the greatest friends one can have, my ///MFest Family.
To my dismay, I had my own doubts of MFest II. One that I never really shared beforehand with others since I didn't want to bum out anyone. Being a veteran mfester, I had no idea that ///MFest I could be topped. The series of events from the previous ///MFest were too good to be out done. I WAS WRONG. Yeah, we may not have had a track event this time. Yeah, we may had a go-karting session instead. I witnessed Jayare tirelessly not giving an inch to Eloy, lol...Yeah, we may have not gone out to the hottest club in town which is Tao. Yeah, we may have just partied in Cherry instead. I witnessed some of the hottest dance moves that VF has to offer. Yeah, we may have not drove to Valley of Fire. Yeah, the guys may have drove to Mount Charleston instead. I witnessed a much more refined stable of the best that Bavaria can offer. You see, it wasn't about the activities that got me excited this time around. I just felt so at home with the people around me. The people behind ///MFest doesn't only stop with Chris and the staff nor with the volunteers or with the sponsors. It was with every single person I spent a minute or an hour. I felt at home with all of you. I write this Ode to all of you. To the new friends I made: Sonny and the rest of Projek-S: You guys rock! With your new breed, the future of ///MFest will be very secured! Tim and the rest of Fusion: Having you guys as business partners is a treat! I look forward with our business relationship growing stronger! Jon Levi and Nick: It will be fruitful this coming year huh? Looking forward with our collaborations to my Bay Area connects! Joe Yang and Nerwell: Next year are we gonna be booth mates? Hell yeah! This time I'll have my crew on time! Thanks for helping out that morning Jayjay: My man from NY! Your generousity was highly unexpected that night! Can't wait to party and drive with you again bro! Charlie: We'll take care of that hood my bruddah! Bart: Thank you for having your sick Silverstone M5 at the booth! You definitely rock those Lineas like no other! Jed: This whole time I never knew we had the same roots! I'm glad that you're part of the ED Family! Chris/Eurogun: Looking forward in having your coupe and Laidback's M5 in a photo op next ///MFest! Remember, it's all about the Bay! hehehehe! Thomas: No fair you got all those sweet raffle prizes! But after hearing the money you put down, I think you deserved them all! Mike of Acute: I still want Meghan's phone number, lol! You lucky guy you! hehehehe! John: Pare, I just love your interior! Thanks for reppin ED!!! Greg: No need to panic!!! LOL! We're very happy to have you part of this family! Joanna: Your lovely presence definitely is indescribable! Thank you for being our official spokesperson! Can't wait for our next project! Good luck on the wedding by the way! To the usual suspects: Stean: To the best wingman one can possibly have...bro, we got the rolling shot duo on lock. I already knew when to slow down and when to speed up to get your angle in lock. Only have done it twice with you, but we make a great team! Brandon: My fellow AW E39er, I'm glad you joined us this time around. Hopefully next year, we'll get more of our comrades at BF.c to share our joys with! Haidar: The villain...bro, you do your part so well! Keep it up! You're definitely the rock of this group! Mike Nismo/Olivia: You guys rock! Too bad we didn't get to do a photoshoot like last time at valley of fire! Not to worry, we'll have other chances once again! Raff: The mascot of ///MFest, bro...I got you more this time around! lol...better luck next time! Always fun having you around. No more patron shots though, hehehehe... Rich: Hahaha!!! Didn't have to carry me this time! Always great having you as a drinking buddy! Danny and Lianne: Sorry brotha that my boost mobile radio didn't get in the mail on time. Thankfully I got your cell on lock! By the way, please tell your friend, I rarely see anyone pull off a leopard skinned bikini like she did! She's one hot number! LOL! Dave Lee: Bro, I really appreciate what you did that Sunday morning! Hehehe...Staying up till 7am is no joke! Thanks for looking out! Danny: Probably the only guy who left Vegas who was up! You lucky bastard! Sig: Thanks bro for letting us use your house during the unholy hours to wash our cars! Jayare and Nathan: I still can't get over scratching that damn tow hook cover area! Thankfully, your E46 still won best of show or I'd have gotten myself shot and not writing this! Sorry once again. James: Tourings FTW!!! It was a blast being able your VIP table seatmate even though we barely sat in it... Henessey Mike: Sorry to hear that your tire blew on our way home. Don't worry I know of a solution to make you feel better about it! SGV??? Marshall: I can't believe you let me take that almost full bottle of goose! What happened!? I wanted to be able to drink with you more that night! Todd: Did you finally see that Sobi had your banner all along? =P Thanks for lending it to me by the way! Looking forward in future events with you! Eddie: I don't know how you do it bro! Every time I see you, you're always with some really hot chick! Don't forget your promise, you're taking Enzo under your wing when he grows up! Stacey: No, I can't buy raffle tickets! LOL...I wish I could though! Sobi: The silent hand...bro, thank you so much for keeping budget at all times!!! =) I can't thank you enough for taking care of our accommodations! last but not the least... Chris and Kim: Where do I begin? Chris your leadership has brought a group of internet nerds together as one! A great social network filled with the TRUEST people I've met. Because of you two, I've been exposed to a culture that cannot be surmounted. I appreciate your dedication and all the sacrifices you two have made to make this all possible. Thank you very very much for having me part of this family. To those I failed to mention individually, I apologize as I am still recovering from our jam packed weekend! And to all those who didn't believe...all I can ask you is "are you ready?" for the next mfest!!! Enough babbling and on with the pictures! I decided not to take too much pics of cars this time around since I had Stean covering that aspect...Let's see the faces that make up ///MFest what it really is about! more to come =)...

As i have said before and during Mfest, It's not all about the cars, the raffles, the events but it's about the "enthusiast like YOU" getting together for atleast once a year and having a blast...The "Camaraderie" that we strive to promote has already spread before, during and well after Mfest...Random act of kindness and unselfishness from the participants and sponsors to each other was well seen at Mfest...I hope that we will be able to continue to do good things for others and be able to share a common goal that is "Camaraderie amongst enthusiast"...Now that is Mfest and hope we can continue doing it...

missed it. It was for a good cause though. Seems like you guys really had some fun. While you were chillin' I had to sell wristbands for Pappas&Beer in Mexico to collect some $ for strip club and then get chased by federales. Weekend well spent also |
