The Mani-Pedi Thread

Since we are going all soft and Soy-Boy with a thread about hairstyles and lotion, I thought I'd close the loop entirely and do one on manicures and pedicures.

First I will start with whether shouldn't look like. Is that ok cmyx6go ?

Me either but I do cut finger nails weekly and my toenails once in a while. Does that count?

I cut my nails once they start breaking or clinging on to clothing. Basically like a skesis.

So I’m a back haired knuckle dragger, but one time to be sweet to my wife, she wanted to get her mani pedi but her female friends were tied up, I went with her. Once I got over the initial embarrassment of it, I actually enjoyed it. And my wife does too since I don’t have “crunchy feet” now.

I liked my heels rough because I felt they were like sharp little knives for self defense. My wife didn’t see it that way lol. So I usually go 3-4 times are year. Mostly in winter and right before flip flop season.

Is all this still referred to as being "metrosexual"? I turn 57 this month and can't decide if it is just me losing touch with the times or something else is going on.........

Echoing c1pher's comment, it is good for flip-flop season. Chances are, if you are single and ready to mingle a woman will notice if you take care of your feet you probably take care of everything else. Attention to detail and such...

A friend of a friend is in the NFL and gets pedicures so that makes it manly for me lol.

No way known I'm having someone I don't know touch my fingers or toes or just about any other body part.

Makes my skin crawl thinking about it.

All I’ll say is....try finger blasting a woman with jacked up, grimy, finger nails/cuticles...it’s either not happening or you’re paying for her gyno appointment...

Got corralled by the wife once-- she bribed me with champagne while the girls worked on us-- it was her choice for "date night".

She still goes to the "lah-dee-dah" spa fairly religiously-- I ended going up to the "cheap place" near our house once every month or two. Having decent hands and feet that don't look like something from Jurassic Park is the mark of a professional, imho.

Although, showing up with torn nails with grease/oil under the nails still sort of freaks out the Chinese nail girl!
