How many track (circuit) days before oil change..

Im wondering for you guys that go tracking HPDE (circuit),
how often do you change your oil between events?

Im usually changing mine every 2-3, and by the end of it, it is thin and black!! and my car is only 3 months old too

The the N54, your oil will have fuel dilution in as low as just a few hundred miles and black as well.

With a good synthetic, you can go 4-5 track days without changing your oil, but just to be sure, send your oil in for analysis.

With Redline we have been getting away with 5 track days. Doing it after 2 track days was too much and just a waste of money. That is after carefuly reading of the oil analysis results.

We will now switch over to Total and see if there is difference.

Harold - so you did a UOA on the redline after 5 days? What "variable" concerned you such that you decided to change the oil?

I go by both TBN, flash point of the oil and cST and SUS viscosity at 100C and 210F.
