Could a bad PCV Hose causing white smoke? HELP
My PCV Hose cracked and broke while I was doing the VCG. I made the mistake of buying a no-brand PCV Hose on Amazon. The part seemed fine, fitment was pretty bad and I had to actually heat it up so i could bend it and so it could fit.
I’ve been having problems with white smoke on startup and sometimes when I rev the engine. Could this be caused by a bad or crappy PCV hose? I was thinking it couldn’t hurt to replace it and see, if there’s even a slight possibility that this is what is causing my white smoke. White smoke appeared about 500 miles after replacing the PCV Hose. Thanks for any help! - Luke |

The pcv hose is a simple bi directional flapper valve. It flows 3:1 or something like that. Guess the aftermarket part can screw that? The original part is quite inexpensive...
