I honestly don't even know WTF CG is (now I have to hunt around on here and find out), but I can't believe anything beats Zaino's line of products. So Z gets my vote.

Have personally never heard of CG and have used Zaino for years. I was a Zymol guy for about 3 years before I found Zaino, and didn't think I'd ever find anything better. Zaino's ease of application, depth of shine, and proven track record is enough to keep me hooked until something comes along that is significantly better that I can see with my own two eyes. While I'm willing to try new detailing products from time-to-time, that isn't the case with wax/polish products where it seems the debate on what's better never ends and we all have our own opinions. I know what Zaino has done for me and the effort it takes to apply and maintain it. I'm still sold.

Been using Zaino for ten years and I'm an anal rententive bastard. It doesn't get any better than Z. Once you get a good base of Z-2/Z-5, use the Z-6 or Z-8 quick spray/detailer and your car will look amazing.

I'd suggest you don't sell your Z stuff yet and then try the Chemical Guys products. That way you'll know what to sell after.
Regardless of your reasons to try something other than Zaino I don't object to trying other things. God knows I have over the years and it's helped develop my familiarity with other products and the properties of those products. Others may argue if it ain't broke don't fix it but I think these little exercises over the years has yielded a wealth of info for me personally that is invaluable in being able to quickly apply what may be a better product for that particular application or customer request. Then again, you may want to just skip the CG stuff and go straight to the Dodo Juice comparo - that seems to be the next product gaining momentum!!!

for my ´95 bmw alpina track car i started using full molecular jacket (awesome stuff) and other products from george at detailed image.... both the zaino and detailed image´s stuff work great...i have not decided which stuff works better. ...sooner or later i will decide what works best, and then just stick with one set of polishes/sealers/ cleaners. my 2 cents

I wouldnt even compare CG with Zaino....they are two different types of products...imo. I use some CG products, but many others as well. I personally dont use Zaino, but a few of my buddies do, as far as protection you cant beat it. But for looks and shorter protection there are a lot of other products out there. Also Zanio is main used just for protection, there "swirl remover" is really more of a swirl filler. If you want to get rid of swirls you need to use a good polish like Menzerna and electric buffer like a PC or FLEX. Like I said these are different products for similar needs but i wouldnt directly compare the two. Zaino is more for people that want to detail the car and forget about the protection for a while while others require applications more often.
and +1 for stuff at detailed image they sell some CG stuff now. As for a sealant I recommend CG Jetseal 109

the best way to actually find out is to try both. i know this may be more costly, but that's the only way to find out which one you REALLy like better. Detailing is a matter of preference.

Waxes can bond to Sealants, but it doesnt work the other way around. So yes seal first, then put on whatever carnauba wax you choose.
Although i love the shine of Jetseal, i still always go back to Z5. |

You don't need anything on top of layers of Z-2 and Z-5. No need for any additional sealers, waxes, etc... And no, Z-2 is NOT a canuba wax. It's a liquid polish of some sort, but it has the protective qualities of a carnuba (but better, IMO) and Z-5 has UV protection. Just relax and keep Z'ing!
