Gas pump keeps shutting off before tank is full

Lately while filling up even from near empty, any gas pump keeps shutting of well before the gas tank of my vehicle is full. It's getting very annoying now. Used to happen once in a while but now almost every time I fill up and several times at that. This happens on any gas station so I don't believe it has anything to do with gas pumps but something to do with my vehicle.

Any ideas? Has any one experienced this issue and fixed it? Thanks for any pointer.

2007 335i E92 140k miles (stock except for turbos).

Before you start filling up. Go next to the tank and tell her that you love her, and you want to fill her up so you can enjoy her driving back home. It my work givea it's try.

But seriously I think it's the gas pumps, happens to me often at some gas stations.

Take off your charcoal canister and bang the end without connections against a piece of wood until the charcoal pellets start to shake around. This fixed this incredibly annoying problem on my cars 100%.
