Cant determine if i have CIC or CCC..help :)

I have bought my son a 2009 E90 320D with 'Navigation System Business'.

Im confused whether i have CCC or CIC...it seems half and half!

Reasons for thinking CIC:
Its a 2009 build, and cars after 2008 are CIC i believe
There is only a single CD/DVD slot in the car
There is a 7 button iDrive controller

Reasons for thinking its CCC:
The user interface is the old style...on the home screen there are the 4 options arranged around the compass..up down left and right....not the vertical list of options like in CIC.

Is it possible to have new hardware with old GUI...do i have half and half?

Thanks in advance

If you have 4 options including one being for navigation, you have CCC.

Sounds like you have CCC. CIC will have the vertical list like you said

Thanks for the replies...thats what i feared.

Based on your conviction i did some further digging and found this:

M-ASK stands for MMI Audio System controller and is manufactured by Becker. This is a limited version of the iDrive computer with a small 6.6" display and is only found on 5, 6 Series and the X5 or X6, without the navigation option.

In addition, it can be ordered as an option in Europe on the 1 Series and 3 Series as "Business navigation", which has basic navigation abilities. Early versions of the Business navigation could only display directional arrows, but the latest version can also display 2D maps. iDrive Business Navigation uses a different map DVD than iDrive Professional Navigation. In addition, as only one optical drive is available, one cannot use both navigation and listen to a CD simultaneously.

When iDrive Professional is ordered the M-ASK system is replaced by iDrive CCC Professional with a dual slot dash mounted drive computer and larger 8.8" display.

I think you have CCC business navigation (DVD based).
To confirm, EJECT the DVD from your CD/DVD drive and if it has navigation maps on it, then that's your proof.

CCC business navigation is DVD based and looks like the image below (see right pic):

CIC business navigation resides on integrated storage and looks like the image below (see right pic):
