New 2009 335 Coupe - Who are you FINANCING with?

For those of you who have ordered a 2009 BMW 3 series. How are you planning on Financing the car?

Are you going by the default BMW rate of possible 6.9% or 7.9% depending on your credit score?

Or, are you going with an outside lender? If you are, what rates have you seen?

Just want to hear what some of you guys are doing since we are not lucky enough to get the 0.9% financing.

For my 350Z, I got 4.2% with Navy Federal. A BMW dealership, different from the one I eventually got my 335i from, said Navy Federal offers great interest rates.

Of course... I'm at 0.9... only reason I have my car...

I've effectively been "financing" this car for a while now, without the driving privileges normally included. At time of delivery, I will be tendering the full amount--cash on the barrel-head, as it were.

Wow, you guys are buying these cars in cash... even if I had $50K on hand, I don't think I could part with it for a new car... To answer the OP's question, I have pretty good credit (mid 700's) and my credit union is giving me 5.24% (the best rate they offer)... It's not great, but I haven't found anything better yet...

I've been saving up for a little while. This is my present to myself for making it past 30 (never thought it would happen), so my whole attitude was if I couldn't afford to buy it outright, I wouldn't get it. I know that the merit of this decision can be debated from now until forever, but *shrug*, it's only money.

Better than 6.9% is Pentagon Federal Credit Union @ 4.75%
https://www.penfed.org/productsAndRa...wAutoLoans.asp

A bunch of european delivery people use them, anyone can become a member.

Yeah! I've been looking into Pentagon Federal CU also... but I've also found Capital and Chase to offer right above 5% interest... How does RE-Financing work? Can you get the promotional deals when they become available? Or.. Is it just for new purchases?

No debate here! I'm a little jealous, I just don't think I could've done it! I'm definitely not looking forward to my payment It's funny because I ordered my car 3 days before my 30th birthday as a present to MYSELF!
