We need 2009 Residuals and we need them NOW!

I absolutley can not place an order for my car until I have the residuals on the 2009 3 series sedan.

If the residuals are high, the spread between a fully loaded and a bare mins configuration isnt that much - its about $80 a month. But if residuals are low, that spread widens to over $200!!!!

I don't know about you guys but this info is a MUST have before placing an order. Does anyone want to take a guess at what they may be? Think we can see 67%?

Based on what is being said look for residuals to be low and MF to be high.

I am pissed that Residuals and MF are not release yet. I have the sedan on order to be picked up in Munich on the 10/16 and need to confirm plane tickets by 9/16. If I cancel them after that, will need to pay penalties. Cannot finalize the deal without #s. If #s are bad, will need to walk away and buy Corolla.

I too am not happy about this. It would seem logical that BMW would release this information inline with the offical pricing release on their website. Not even the website can calculate a lease for the 2009 models. I may too have to go buy a Corolla LOL!!

It is safe to say BMWs will be $100-150 more a month now.

If leasecompare has September lease rates out for 2008 models sold in September and the residuals have only dropped modestly on those aging models, how is BMWFS going to drop residuals on 2009 models so much that is increases payments by 20%? That doesn't make much sense.

It makes perfect sense because they want you to buy the car instead of leasing it. BMW got burned bad this year with car values dropping and cars coming off leases. Since 60% of BMW are leased they are trying to make lease rates high and offer lower financing so people buy cars instead of lease.

So if you really want to lease then expect to pay more to do so.

If BMW really wants us to buy - then they need to offer under 3% financing.

Or pump some incentives into CPO financing if they want to offload those off-lease units without taking a bath on the official price. Nonetheless, it seems illogical that the expectation is that the '09 residuals will be less than the stale '08s. An LCI model coming out would hammer the pre-LCI residuals right then.

Agreed. We've been told for months now that the aggressive leasing/financing deals were going away, but they're still around for the most part. I think it's a lot of talk to get the '08s out the door.

Yup, the only positive thing I see out of all this is that there won't be so many BMWs on the road now.

All the poser people who got great lease deals will run away after they see the new prices.

Those who are true to the BMW brand, will stay.

Lease prices now on bmwusa.com

Don't know when the official buy rates and residuals will appear via leasecompare.com, but the bmwusa.com configurator actually gives a lease price for the first time today!

not too bad.. its +3% for 10k miles, right?

If so, the 335 cv residual is 3% higher at 36mo. But, MF 245 is 00015 higher.

(compared to sept 08)

Yes + 3% for 10k miles. If you are a returning BMW customer the MF should be 235.
