Titanium Silver: Chrome trim or Black trim?
I'm slowly but surely working on the car, trying to mod it to look better. I'll be ordering my h&r lowering springs soon, and then will be mounting my new 19" AR-1s on it. i finally got my huperoptik tint installed yesterday (40% fronts, and 30% rear windshield). I think this combo worked really well for my Titanium Silver.
Other minor mods I"m doing are aluminum pedals, and since 325 didn't come with chrome pipes, the chrome pipes. As far as performance, I'm going to wait on exhausts/intakes/chips that have worthwhile hp/torque gains before i go that route. Anyways, long story short, should I keep my black window surrounds or go chrome? Had I had a black car, things would be much easier for me. I'd do total black, because i've seen these cars in person, and i'm really really really in love with a completely blacked out, clean car. Grill, rims, limo tint, everything. It looks so sick. But I have silver, so... Chrome grill and chrome window surrounds, chrome grill and black window surrounds, all black (in which case i would just need to shadowline my existing grill)... What do yall think? Pictures 1, 2, and 4 our what my car is now. Pictures 3 and 5 are chromed out 330. |

I really like the way the chrome grille looks on the 3 series, no matter what the color(so much so, I replaced mine on my 325 with the chrome ones) IMO, it makes the front stand out more than just the black grill.

Thanks guys/gals.
Well, its strange though, every poster states to Chrome, but the voters have made the chrome and blacked out tied, with #1 being chrome grill and black window surrounds! even i was thinking a definite to the chrome grill, but a maybe to the window surrounds. my objective is not to look like a 330i. In fact, if I owned the 330i in black, the first thing i would do is to black it out completely, including rims, and, if possible blacked out 330i badge. My objective is pure aeshetic wise. I will admit that i think that on silver, chrome is a big plus, esp. if you have aluminum trim. But, nonetheless, feedback is always sought. Thanks. |

i have a jet black 330 , and the only thing left to black out is the window surrounds. I think black on black is sweeeeeet. On TiAg, I think the chrome looks pretty cool though.

i've decided to go chrome for this Tiag.
want set up a trade? The window sill stuff is not very $$, but the big one piece that wraps around the top of both windows is pricey at like $150 a pop. Would you like to do either a full or partial trade? Car has only 2,400 miles on it. Quote:

BMW knows how to chrome trim their cars best.
