dang seems like 3ers got spensive!

just priced out a 335xi fairly loaded and it's like 54k. meanwhile a 535xi w/similar options is only like 5-7k more and a minimally optioned m3 is also about 5-7 more. man. makes it hard.

vent over. thnx

You're going to have trouble with that since most cars and the "next" step car is almost all $5~7k difference.

I had 2 months of thinking and shopping before i pulled on my 335xi. Kinda look back that if i added another $5~7 k i could have gotten a S5. BUT the 0.9 APR was the trick that i got the 335 instead.

Good luck~

agree, that 5-7 range is the killer. least once its 10+ it's a bit easier to decide for me anyway.

imho 54k is way too much money for a 3 series. I dunno but it's just over the top. There was a time when a M3 cost 38k. Saying that a 335xi costs 54k gives me the same feeling when I saw an X5 with a 72k sticker on the window. Now I don't feel so bad that my car cost under 45k in 12/06. It's not even totally stripped. Factor in that the stock market has since tanked and it was a good time in retrospect to buy a car. Not anymore!

Adjust 38k to inflation and you get the current M3's MSRP.
