Recommendation: Polish/Glaze/Sealant/Wax Combination
I'm about to do my first full scale detail.
Paint: Metallic Black Condition: Has some clear coat scratches that appear white but not deep enough to feel them. Goal: Remove the scratches, bring out a brilliant shine while protecting my paint when all is said and done. After the polish, I'd like to use either a Glaze, Sealant or a Wax, not all of them. I'm going with the Flex kit through DI and have decided (after reading these detail forums for hours) to go with Menzerna products. I don't want to purchase 4 or 5 different products either. I'd like to stick to just a couple. A polish, a sealant and possibly a wax. Right now I'm thinking to first apply the 106FF followed by the Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze. I'm not interested in Zaino but if anyone could recommend a better combination of Menzerna / Klasse products? Silly question - Wax by hand or Wax with machine with the CG 50/50? I'm thinking by hand but I'm not for sure. Thanks! GP |

if you check out all teh XXXXX Detailed: Make and Car threads, everything is listed and usually the detailer leaves a comment on special products that are new to him or her

I browsed through several of those posts and while helpful, didn't provide me exactly what I was looking for. I went with the SIP, 106FF, FTG, FMJ. Based off of what I read, I shouldn't "need" a wax and my paint will still be protected by the FMJ.
It is ok to apply all of those products with an orbital correct? I was thinking orange pad with the sip, white with the 106ff and the rest. Should I bother with the blue pad or something softer than the white? |

I have the 50/50, Pete's 53 Black Pearl and Dodo Juice Purple Haze (still getting used to this one!). The 50/50 is really AWESOME on the Jet Black as is the Dodo Juice. They each (in my case) seem to amplify the shine left from the Menzerna products. Just my .02 ![]() |
