Seat swap

Hello all, while I've done a lot of research, I figured I'd check one last time with the community to make sure I'm not missing anything. I have a 07 e92 with power and heated non-sports seats. Swapping to sports seats from an 09 e92, also power and heated. Pre-lci to pre-lci. Plug and play correct? Appreciate any feedback, thanks in advance!

I don't think that's correct. You are going from a pre-LCI to an LCI. You won't be able to power the bolsters. There is a trick to make this happen. You'll have to search the DIY's on this

I think it's from the first half of 09 as it doesn't have active headrests which made me think it was pre-lci. Also, it has the pre-lci front bumper.

Ok, but how do you power the seat bolsters?

I have lumbar support, power, heated and memory seats so the wiring is already part of the plug in my car.

Buy them, if the side bolsters don't work, then you just have to find a way to power them. Pin 7 I think might be what you need to look at

Got all prepared to get them only to find burn marks that weren't in the picture so I passed on them. My non-sports seats are perfect so I'll only replace them with sports seats that are pretty mint. I'll look into the pins in there though. Thanks for the info.

I think it’s better to change to seats from m4. They look bomb and comfortable. Passive support is very cool, but if you certainly do not drive fast, you can take for example from the seventh series.

I've got a pair of 2008 M3 black leather seats if you are interested.

Only looking for saddle sports seats. Love my interior minus the comfort of sports seats.

In case I have missed something, how do I go from a non-powered base LCI seat to an msports LCI seat, non-powered with only the rocker switch to adjust the bolsters? Thanks.

Yeah, clearly I have more to learn so I can't really help you. Good luck though.
