Sounds....like a flat 6 revving to 9,000 RPMs

Actually sounds a bit muted compared to the 991. I bet those 992 test mules have the OPF...which the US cars won't have. Sounds great already, but expect them to sound even better on this side of the pond.

Looks like I will need to sell my kidneys!

Gotta love a high revving NA motor paired to a manual transmission. I give props to Porsche for building one, even if it is in a very expensive and exclusive car. I've driven a 991.2 GT3 on the road and track and it was one hell of an experience and a magnificent car.

debating on getting one. I've been searching 991 GT3s but I might just wait it out and put in an order for a 992 if they let me. Im not feeling the hood or wing design though.

I've heard that this generation will not be limited and anyone with the funds is allowed to purchase?? anyone got info on that ?

still all speculation. but porsche was very unhappy with ADMs. Champion Porsche scammed multiple people out of 2 million dollars. https://www.thedrive.com/news/23576/...buyer-deposits

they will be increasing GT car production.

economy is in the tank.

i think a loaded gt3 will probably be closer to 200k now than 150k though.

You would never know Porsche was unhappy with ADMs the way they let dealerships charge them at will.

I hope that's gonna be the case though. 200k fully loaded is going to be pretty steep. That's 991.2 RS pricing.

you can get 991.1 GT3RS cars for the same money or less than a 991.2 GT3

People said the same exact thing about the 718 GT4. Everyone was saying allocations would flow like water and porsche wasn’t going to limit anymore yada yada yada. Well, allocations still ended up being hard to get.

Point is, you simply never know. But many of the 991.2 buyers they paid ADM ended up taking a bath. Most RSes can be had with low miles at MSRP or slightly below now. I don’t think people will be as eager to pay ADMs next time around, but it won’t be as easy as just walking into a dealer either. Im thinking ADMs will exist but lower ($5k-$10k) and Porsche will keep supply somewhat limited. There’s also the factor of Porsche needing to sell a ton of Taycans to offset the GT3 emissions...which might not go according to plan ergo Porsche produces less GT3s. All speculation at this point, but let’s see.

Also that video is from 2018 apparently. But I think still a good indication of what we’ll see (and hear).

Im digging the sound, but def need to see the final product but I don’t see them messing up what is usually IMO the best looking track/street car.
As far as “not limited” I wouldn’t bet on that. I have a GT4 coming, and while they said the same for the GT4 (not limited), I’ve been told these will be quite limited again given the amount of allocations dealers are actually being allotted. And beyond that they can only produce so many. Porsche also shut down production (I think they are back on this week) for a bit and supply chain is also a of an unknown too.

The front/rear wheel size difference looks massive. Perhaps it's the camera angle but, I see 19" up front, 21" in back.

Im hoping it creates a flood of 991.x GT3's to the market in about 2 years. Driven LOTS of cars in my life, and nothing was the perfect mixture of raw/tech/pure NA/Built like a tank/sound/experience that driving a 991 GT3 was.
