Money Factors

Ok, so everyone is getting 500-1000 over invoice, but if you lease, how much are they padding the MF on top of their buy rate? Is anyone actually getting the posted buy rates?

Dealers are allowed to mark the MF up to .0004. If you do ED they will mark it up an additional .0003 so .0007 total. It's pretty rare to be able to get base MF. That usually happens when you're giving them a decent profit.

Dealers should be able to divide the dealer profit (MF of .0004), by half (meet you half way). The ED Adder .0003 is to pay for your first lease payment when the car is in route to US on ship.

it's technically the second payment as you make the first at drive off Also this isnt' a markup the dealer has any control over, if it's a euro they have to add the .003, personally I'd rather make the second payment on my own but that isn't an option.

+1. I told the first dealer I talked to about my ED to pound sand when they told me they "had to" mark up the base MF by 0.004. :finger:

I went to their competitor across town and they took $1000 over invoice, base MF, and stated BMWFS residual on my new '09 E90.
