I recently replace the oil refill cap think the gasket on it was the issue but there still oil coming out of it

Is this normal?

That looks like a non-OEM cap. I would use OEM BMW. This is the one I replaced it with when my old N54 cap was leaking.

Maybe a boost leak into the valve cover via the PCV system is pushing the oil vapor out? Any other oil leaks?

That cap does not look right...

Borrow another cap an see if it seals better.

Upgrade the PCV valve, get an oem cap, and if that doesn’t work then replace the valve cover.

Upgrade the PCV valve, get a new crank case hose/ valve & get the updated version of the OEM oil cap from FCP.

Pcv was replace with a new bms version
Valve cover was inspect and no leaks but maybe need a new one?

I'll look into the hose as an option

The crank case breather hose is a $35.00 part. The PCV valve & hose should be replaced every 50,000 miles.

I wouldn't replace the valve cover unless you know there's a crack in it. If you don't have a leak, there's no sense in spending $400.00.
