Bit the bullet, will install new lifters n52 engine

Hello to everyone
Bought an 06 e90, wonderful condition. Drives and runs great but it has a problem that to me it's really annoying.
One or two lifters are permanently stuck and the car ticks all the time

Decided to buy everything aside from the Valvetronic spring tool and I will rent a timing kit from a local shop.
I was thinking on only replacing the damaged lifters or trying to clean the stuck ones, but my car has the magnesium valve cover and if anything goes wrong I will need to buy new screws.
I would rather just do it once.
Bought new lifters, valve screws, gaskets, and vanos collar screws

Any advice?

Most of the parts have arrived. I ordered a set of 24 lifters from ebay, but I have some concerns whether intake and exhaust lifters are swappable. All 24 lifters have a part number for exhaust side.

Lifters arrive on Monday- Tuesday. I will create an excel file with all torque specs needed to finish this job.

Looks like only one lifter was bad but I will change all just to be sure

As an update, things went smooth. It's a hell of a job to do at home. I suggest you remove the complete intake manifold, the blind plastic plug with time gets brittle and may break (it will break). Car now runs smooth and has no ticking sound.
In conclusion, a lifter was totally broken inside. No oil retention what so ever, the lifter itself assembly was loose.

A month has passed since this job was done and I had no problems.

Be careful when instaling the exhaust cam ledge

Is this the kind of job it's worth doing as preventive maintenance when I replace my valve cover gasket or is it more involved than that? My lifters are pretty loud but my solution was going to be 5w40 oil and an exhaust that is louder...

It's a really long job. I am not a certified mechanic and did it on my driveway. Took me about two days to complete with no rushing. A certified mechanic will charge a lot of money but may be able to complete it faster. I would never do this job as a type of preventive maintenance. I only did it because the lifter sound was loud and constant. Hot or cold engine.
This is by far the most complex job I have done and it was so much that I no longer want to work in my car for a while HAHAHAHAHA
The cost for parts only in my case was around 300 us dollars

Timing tool was needed, there is an n54 guide that you can follow. Only exhaust side was changed
