Getting fibre optic sound from CD changer loom to AUDISON AP8.9 -BMW 325d 2010 model
Hi all,
I have BMW 325D 2010 model e90 saloon with base sound system. No factory fitted amp/cd changer etc. I decided to upgrade the sound, bough AUDISON 8.9 BIT which has optical fibre sound input. I found fibre optical cables(2 pieces) come from BMW professional radio head unit. I bought and installed after Market Android iDrive, as instructed i moved fibre optic cables from head unit to iDrive. My question is can I use that fibre optic cables from car trunk to connect sound to AUDISON AP8.9 Could you please advice? thanks in advance |

Unless the audison uses a BMW compatible Most Bus interface
it probably won't be able to talk to anything in the BMW system. BMW does not use Toslink . There is a a company that makes translating devices called Mobridge. Pretty expensive device though. As far as using the cable's themselves there is a the problem of are the connectors compatible. |
