Electrical issues after new engine
318 i (2008)
Wondered if anyone can offer any advice. Recently had a replacement engine fitted. The car came back with the Stereo not working, seat belt Warning lights dont work and the front and back parking sensors dont work. Garage does not want to know, said they didn't do anything but all were working before we gave them the car. Had another garage check the fuses, run it on the machine etc, no fault codes came up. Any pointers on what to check would be appreciated. thanks KM |

We know nothing of 4 cylinder e9x's in the US.
But in general when you change electronic modules programming may be necessary . Also if the battery is low it can cause all kinds of ghost error's with the electronics. Was the DME changed with the Engine. Unless these garages are using BMW specific software to do diags they won't pick up everything. |
