Need an auto repair shop in Jacksonville
I just ran over an object on the way home. A truck ahead dropped what I think was a trailer hitch and gutted the undercarriage of my 2008 e90 335i. Don't know the full extent of the damage but guessing at minimum the oil pan and auto trans pan are toast based on trans fluid and motor oil leaking and a foot-long gash in the belly pan. Insurance will tow it to a shop and they suggest Caliber Collision but there is no body damage and I'd rather find a shop that knows BMWs mechanically. I just moved to Jax and have done all my own maintenance and repairs for the past 8 years so I have no idea where to go.
Funny thing is I was literally just thinking to myself how great she's been running, she loved 93 octane compared to Cali 91 octane crap gas. Thanks. |

Not yet, but I brought it to Bavarian Rennsport. Insurance is offering to cover the damage but they are basing the estimate on some none OEM / OE parts, trying to work it out with them before repairs are started.
