Headliner Removal for PDR

Hi all. So I brought my new 330i in for detail yesterday. Car has under 200 milestone. Detailer pointed out when I returned to pickup the car a very shallow dent on the rear right quadrant if the roof. Very minor but now it bugs me knowing it’s there. I have a very talented PDR guy who said without seeing it the glue pull method isn’t always as effective as rolling it out depending on the degree of the dent but it’s less invasive. It wouldn’t require the headliner to be undone but might not be 100% either.

If the headliner needs to be undone, the dealer would have to do it first before he’d be able to do the repair. This is where I get nervous because I just don’t want any other damage to be inflicted while undoing the headliner. We’ve all had our bad experiences with dealership carelessness that makes us fanatics not want to have them do anything.

Has anyone attempted to dislodge the headliner? The dent is near the edge so I’m thinking the whole part wouldn’t have to be undone in order to access the dent if necessary.

Then again this dent is so minor that the glue pull might be equally effective at removing it completely. The rest of the car is perfect. There is no paint damage where the dent is.

Has anyone had good results with glue pulling to remove a dent? Appreciate the advice.
