Tyre Sizes - What are my options?
I have some new wheels for my pre-lci E90, they are 18x9 +29 square setup. So what tyres shall I fit? My car has been lowered on Eibach springs.
There is also a possibility that I may change my car to an E91 Lci or possible F31 so would ideally like to swap the wheels and tyres to my new car. |

you can still have a staggered tyre set up,,for 9 inch without any stretch then 275 on rear .my 640d has 9 inch rears and a 275 tyre,,but id check rim+tyre size fitment calculators site to make sure with the offsets etc

Why not work out the rolling radius?
With 265/40 rears then 235/40 fronts will be about 3.6% smaller i.e. have to rotate faster to keep up whereas the 235/45 fronts will have almost exactly the same diameter as the rear the difference being about 0.06% i.e. nothing to worry about. I know which I would fit but of course whether any of these will go under your arches only you can tell because you are the only one that knows what modifications you have made and how your car sits on its non-standard springs. |

I would just go 255/35r18 all around. Staggered tires on square wheels looks funny to me. You didn’t mention whether or not you’re awd so I’m going to assume rwd but if you are x drive definitely go square. You can use a small spacer in the rear if fitment doesn’t look quite right at first.
