stock exhaust - a component between secondary cats and end mufflers

Hi,

What is role of the small exhaust component which is placed between secondary cats and end mufflers ? Is it a resonator ?

Not sure what you are talking about...I don't remember anything between the secondary cats and the muffler on my exhaust.

On coupes that'll be an "x pipe". On sedans there is a resonator that the coupes don't have.
