Turbo Seal Fun Time

So I just noticed heavier than normal white/grey smoke as I was pulling in to my garage today after being out. Pretty sure turbo seals are starting to go as this is only happening with warm oil for now (if my logic is correct there). At 108.5k.

Got an appt. w/ dealer in a few days to check them out for warranty replacement. Any arguments against pushing the car to make a clear confirmation that the seals are leaking upon inspection?

Does it smoke on Deceleration?

I haven't been paying attention on strict deceleration tbh, but you could say that as such as when I was reversing and letting go that's when I saw some big puffs coming out from the sideview mirror. I will pay more attention on deceleration also from higher revs. On idle there is a light amount.

It is smelling like burnt oil also from the pipes, still light though which is why I suspect they are starting to let go.

I wouldn't expect that with your mod list you're gonna get a dealer to warranty those...

They just gave me new injectors last month..

But ya that's totally a possibility I'm planning for, I have 2 weeks and 1500 miles left on this extended warranty too so we'll see. If not PS2 here I come I guess

Welp never fucking mind, BMWNA says there is no extended warranty on turbos...

Am I going nuts, I could have sworn there was one for N54's. He was saying there might not have been one issued specific for iS's which is pure shit

Ya I just talked to the service manager and he's gonna email a tech guy to see if they can pass it through. He saw the warranty for n54's and said it could have gotten missed b/c niche model. If not dealer wants $2750 for labor.

Looks like I'm doin turbo install by myself on jack stands

............not lol
