I'd never own one, but it certainly looks better now.

Garage List
2006 330i  [9.00]
From time to time, I think of switching from my 330i as a combination fun car + commuter car to two cars, one with AWD and decent room for practicality and one toy car for fair weather fun. Miata is on my potential toy car list, along with Elise, S2000, Z4, and maybe a few others. This refresh looks decent to me. I have no qualms about its perception as a "chick car."

A car could be in prodution for years before I hear it called a chick car. Until then I have no idea. The miata and the TT have both been called chick cars but I like them both. Maybe if I just avoid pink cars.

I read from the Lotus crowd that the Lotus makes the S2K feel like a boat. Of course, Lotus drivers have to deal with Lotus reliability and the fragility of the clamshell.

One thing Miata and S2K have going for them is that their MTs is universally lauded. Not so for the Lotus.
