Yet another case of E92 LCI tail light retrofit
Hey everyone!
Just installed the LCI tail lights on my '08 E92. Tried to do it the "proper" way via modifying VO (in CAS/NFRM) by adding +MUEB (as it's FRM2) and coding the module to stock values afterwards. Dumped (TRC) NFRM both times (before and after all the coding) just to make sure that NFRM had its bulb voltage checks disabled now. To my surprise dumps were completely identical and all settings stayed unchanged. Verified whether I actually FA_WRITE'ed the VO by re-fetching it from NFRM (and for the peace of mind from CAS as well). Ended up disabling voltage checks manually. Everything works as it should: no errors or rapid blicking. Still genuinely curious whether there is a reason I can't do it via VO method? Car's production date is 03/2008 if it matters in any way. P.S. For the sake of experiment tried simulating the prod date and re-coding NFRM - some values did change, but not the ones I was hoping for. Last edited by fableman; 09-06-2020 at 01:48 PM..
